ART Environmental Technologies Ltd., acting as the Supervision Consultant for the “Extension of Water Resources for Faisalabad City, Phase II” Project, successfully hosted the official Agence Française de Développement (AfD) Project Mission, held from 30 June to 2 July 2026 in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
During the mission, progress review meetings, technical discussions and comprehensive site inspections were conducted with the participation of representatives from AfD, the Employer, the Contractor and the Supervision Consultant. The mission focused on reviewing construction progress, contract administration, quality assurance procedures, construction scheduling, occupational health and safety performance, and compliance with environmental and social requirements.
The Project constitutes a major investment in Faisalabad’s water infrastructure and includes:
Extension of the existing Jhal Water Treatment Plant by 5 MGD;
Construction of a 25 MGD Pre-Sedimentation Facility (PSF);
Construction of a new 25 MGD Surface Water Treatment Plant;
Development of raw water and treated water transmission systems.
The mission provided an opportunity to assess the overall implementation status of the Project, review key technical and contractual issues, and coordinate the upcoming stages of construction in close cooperation with all stakeholders.
